FAQ

Should I pick up before you arrive? Outshine NoCo is completely judgment free in every aspect of your life.  Homes are meant to live in. However we do understand if you still want to clean before we arrive just to help clear up some time in the day. Feel free to pick up what you feel is necessary. Our cleaners will fold a pile of blankets, fluff your pillows and put away small amounts of toys, books and shoes. For other generalized clutter, we likely send you a message asking you whether you would like us to help take care of it. Worst case is we will make it look like an organized clutter pile.

HOWEVER, we will NOT open personal areas like nightstands, closets, cabinets or boxes unless otherwise agreed to. It is best to put away the objects that may be extra personal or contain sensitive information. Anything you leave out may be subject to being moved or viewed including financial information.

 

Is it ok to leave my pet out? We love your pets! They can provide nice company while we clean but let’s visit them first to make sure we like one another. There will be no fee if you want to set up a meet and greet for your pet. It is important for cleaners and pets to know we won’t harm them and your pets won’t harm us. If your pets are not comfortable around new people or loud noises like vacuums, please let us know so we can keep everyone safe.

 

What if someone becomes sick?  We CAN reschedule! Please help keep our cleaners and other clients safe. It will be ok to cancel. Having the sick individual stay in a room or move them to another household during your appointment is still a risk to others. PLEASE HELP KEEP EVERYONE HEALTHY!

 

Can you use my cleaning products or vacuum?  The simple answer is NO.  

We understand you love your personal products but our cleaners are rehearsed in what is supplied to them. We can guarantee our work as well as our equipment. Using your personal equipment and supplies is a liability to our employees and the business. There are no discounts, refunds, or replacements of any or your personal products or tools.

 

Here are a few other things that we ask that you DON’T use to help guarantee our amazing work and keep our equipment from breaking.

PLEASE DON’T USE:

-Carpet powders/baking soda

-Floor wax or wood polishers such as Bona, Pledge or Quickshine

         (these product can do more harm than good)

-Stainless steel cleaning products such as Weinman or Method Stainless Steel cleaners (again this leaves a layer and will do more harm than good)

-Oven cleaners

-Bleach, bleach based products or ammonia

 

What if something is broken? That is ok! We will be sure not to mess with anything that isn’t safe. We will always let you know if something is damaged or broken by our cleaners. We are insured and will rectify the problem to the best of our ability. We also would appreciate it if you let us know if something is broken or loose such as doors, shelves, curtains, tables, chairs, appliances, lights, pictures and even floor tiles. This will help keep our cleaners safe while navigating your home.

 

Special Note: Leaking gas from stoves or ovens is a major safety issue and a cleaning will not resume if we smell a gas leak. Cleaners are allowed to leave work unfinished in this situation.  We will contact you first and urge you to contact an appliance repair tech or the gas company. Cleanings will only resume after proof that the gas leak has been resolved.

 

Can I get a discount for being a really clean person? No, all estimates are based on the spaces being cleaned and size. Not how nice they already are. However, if the space is really clean such as a guest bedroom, you are welcome to take it off your cleaning for that day which will result in a lower invoice.

Discounts are provided for Bi-Weekly and Weekly cleanings!

 

Do I have to sign anything? At this moment in time there are no contracts of any sort. This is possible to change.

 

How often do I have to pay? Payment will always be requested AFTER the cleaning is complete. An invoice will be sent to you by email and the end of your cleaning is due immediately. A $25 late charge will be added after 30 days of non-payment. Additionally, services will NOT be continued if 3 invoices are claimed unpaid. After 90 days of unpaid invoices, further action may be necessary.
